A Humble Little Balcony – photobook

In the building where I live a small balcony faces the back courtyard. White, plastic-coated wires stretched across a metal frame are used to hang clothes to dry. Sometimes, pigeons also rest on them. I have a washer-dryer that gets the job done in a few hours, but it significantly impacts my electricity bill. My neighbor’s balcony gets the job done discreetly without affecting the family budget. It is small, discreet, and humble. But it is hardworking and efficient.

This book aims to tell the balcony story, the tale of a few years of a perhaps mundane and undoubtedly repetitive life. But it is through obsession with image framing that I can give it an identity that reminds us how even small things are important in our lives.

A Humble Little Balcony is a photobook, or better said: there are 100 individual prints in a box.
