I photograph to organize my memories according to an aesthetic vision.
The past will be beautiful.

I'm a lucky guy because I do what I love, so it never feels like a job
but always an enjoyable adventure in life.
I try to be good but, hey, I'm human and I know my limits.
Nonetheless I'm confident that tomorrow will be better than today.
Let's ride.
Michele Molinari is a photographer, writer, visual artist and journalist.

I was born in Mantua, Italy. Based in Milan I work for several years as freelance journalist and photographer for the biggest Italian life style and travel magazines. Later I move to New York City (1997-2005). From the US I corresponds for the Italian press (namely Corriere della Sera, Gazzetta dello Sport, Dove, Gulliver, Panorama, Photo Italia, Speak Up, Yacht Capital) as journalist and photographer, taking care of events, life style, travels. I'll eventually publish a chronicles collection, Nella Pancia Della Bestia (III ed. 2020), on NYC life experience. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, (2005-2012) I mainly work on visual art and photography. Pulmon de Aires, a video, is the first project on the city. Moved back to Italy in 2012.

Le Americhe in Scala 1:1 (2023) tells about a surface and public transportation journey I did from NYC to Buenos Aires, what a fun adventure and how many people I met!
window seat, plz (2023) is a photobook about two of my biggest passions: flying and photography.
Travel Photography Adventures in Analog Times (2022), a photobook, retraces where it all began.
That Sky Book (2021) is a photobook about the never ending love for the ever changing Buenos Aires sky.
Buenos Aires (2019) and CABA (2020) are photobooks of non-iconic images about Argentine capital. They both share my sincere fascination for architecture and light, the latter also for people.
Sono Andato a Sbattere (2018) / And Then It Hit Me (English version, 2020) is a short novel on resilience and how to turn traumas into opportunities; inspired by a true story.

Self published books are published by my virtual, aka non-existent, publishing houses: So di non sapere (I know I don't know) for memoire and novels; So di non vedere (I know I don't see) for photography books.

Many of my photos can be seen/found on Danita Delimont, EyeEmFlickr, Getty Images.
NFTs are published on OpenSea.
You can follow me on Mastodon and Vero. I also have a presence on X (Twitter) and Instagram as @micmol and @micmol.art, but I stopped updating.
As a journalist I'm a member of Ordine dei Giornalisti.

Some of my works belong to galleries and private collections.
